If you’re looking to spend some time with the family this summer, close to home, look no further than the Sixth Annual Run to Home Base, which will be held July 25 at Fenway Park. The event is expected to bring more than 2,000 runners and walkers to the area, all while celebrating America’s favorite pastime and raising money for a good cause. In addition to the run, itself, there will be carnival games, food and other family-friendly entertainment. You will also have a chance to meet Red Sox Legends and to tour the ballpark; you won’t want to miss it!
What Does the Run to Home Base Support?
The funds raised from the run will go to help the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program, which are dedicated to helping post 9/11 veterans and their families heal from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, traumatic brain injury and other “invisible wounds.”
The run and corresponding events will begin at 6 a.m. and last until approximately noon, on Saturday, July 25, 2015. All will be held at Gate B of Fenway Park, which is located at 4 Yawkey Way, Boston.
