Looking for a date idea that will be a bit more memorable than yet another weekend spent with popcorn on the couch? If so, the Wellesley Symphony is providing just what you’ve been waiting for, in the form of a concert featuring world-renowned musician, cellist Sebastian Bäverstam, conducted by Max Hobart. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2015. It will be preceded by a talk with Leslie Holmes, which begins at 2:15 p.m.
The afternoon’s concert will include “Weigala – A Lullaby” by Julia Scott Carey, “L’Italiana in Algeri” by Also Rossini, “Edgar’s Cello Concerto” and “Brahm’s Serenade No. 1.” You can purchase tickets in advance at the Washington Street Walgreens, Wellesley Books, or M. Steinert & Sons, or online, through MK Tix. The Ticket Table will also be open for purchase one hour before the concert.
All tickets are general admission. There will be free parking and a reception to follow the concert. Adult tickets are $28, senior or student tickets are $22, plus a fee if ordering online. Children under 12-years-old enjoy free admission, as do any MassBay students, faculty or staff.
