Esthetic dentistry allows our team to offer cosmetic treatments that improve the shape and shade of teeth. We can target discoloration, misalignment, or even close gaps between the teeth. What procedures do we offer? Can anyone benefit from esthetic dentistry?
Examples of Esthetic Dentistry
- Teeth Whitening: We offer teeth whitening as a way to remove stains from the surface of the teeth. Our system involves an initial office treatment, followed one to weeks of wearing a set of trays at home. The trays are filled with bleaching gel and worn for about an hour a day. The system removes surface stains and even minor intrinsic stains (which form below the surface of the teeth).
- Bonding and Contouring: With bonding and contouring we can repair teeth in a single visit. In the bonding procedure we use a composite resin to restore lost structure due to chips or breakage. We can also mask intrinsic teeth stains or close gaps between teeth. Contouring involves shaving away a small amount of surface structure to remove pits, grooves, or overly pointed portions of a tooth.
- Veneers: We place a thin restoration over the front of the tooth. The veneers look natural and completely alter the shade and shape of the teeth. We can us them to mask teeth stains, correct the appearance of misalignment, close gaps between teeth, lengthen worn down teeth, and reshape malformed/damaged teeth.
- Gum Contouring: If you have excessive or uneven gum tissue, your teeth can look small and/or misaligned. However, with gum contouring we can reshape the gums and even remove excessive gum tissue, improving the beauty of your smile.
