5th Annual Run to Home Base
When and where: Saturday, July 19th at Fenway Park
Pledge your support for our veterans and their families by participating in the 9K run/2.3 mile walk. The event begins and ends in Fenway Park, and all money raised by the event will go toward research, care, and education about post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries–the “invisible wounds” of war in Afghanistan and Iraq. If you plan to walk, drink water to stay hydrated. Avoid energy shots, which are acidic and sugar-saturated and can contribute to tooth decay. Liverpool Soccer Club Boston Soccer School
When and where: Begins Monday, July 21st at 9:00 a.m. at Valeo Sports Center in Newton, MA
This year’s World Cup left many soccer lovers wholly unsatisfied, with even the youngest fans hoping for more. Good thing the Liverpool Soccer Club is holding a 5-day skills camp for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16. The camp, which is one of several stops on Liverpool’s tour in the US, combines challenging maneuvers, drills, a mini-tournament, and the opportunity to receive one-on-one feedback. Your child should always wear the recommended protective gear, including an athletic mouthguard to prevent trauma and dental emergencies.
