Looking for a nice date night opportunity to enjoy this fall? How does a trip to Italy sound? The Vokes Players of Wayland will be performing the musical, The Light in the Piazza, starting October 29, 2015. The show will run from October 29 through November 14, 2015, with shows on Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and a 2 p.m. matinee at on Saturdays, November 7 and November 14. Tickets are $20 for the Thursday night shows or Saturday matinees; all other performances are $28.
Enjoy a Musical Tour of Italy
The play is set in Italy, and highlights the romance that blooms between a tourist and a young Italian man there, while also exploring the cultural challenges that existed in the 1950’s. It features music and lyrics by Adam Guettel, and is based on the book by Craig Lucas. It is being directed by Sarah Rozene-Wolski, with musical direction by Joshua Ziemann. The plays will be held at Beatric Herford’s Vokes Theatre, a historical treasure which is located at 97 Boston Post Road (Route 20), Wayland, MA 01778.
