6 Exciting Activities at the 134th Bolton Fair

Just a 25-minute drive from Shrewsbury, a fun festival will take place in Bolton, MA. From rides to games to live music, the 134th Bolton Fair can surely entertain you and your family. The festival kicks into high gear on Friday, August 12th, with the ever-popular demolition derby. The rest of the weekend, ending August 14th, will be packed with all kinds of fair fun. Here are 6 exciting events at the 134th Bolton Fair you won’t want to miss!

The Demolition Derby

Starting at 7pm on the Friday of the fair, the demolition derby features classic cars smashing into each other. Only one car will be left rolling in the end. Included in the cost of fair admission, this show should be a smashing success.

The Monster Truck Rally

Saturday and Sunday will bring a monster truck rally, complete with flying cars, and daring feats. You can even take a ride in one of the monster trucks, if you want. How cool is that?

Pig and Hot Dog Races

On your marks. Get set. Oink! The cutest little piggies and hot dogs (wearing buns!) will be racing every day of this fair, which also features agriculture and livestock.

Wine and Beer

From noon to 7pm everyday, wine and beer will be available in the Beer and Wine Garden. Enjoy a cold one while the day is hot.

Midway Rides

A new ride is coming to town this year. Aptly named Vertigo, this 100 ft tall doozy might not be for the faint of heart. You can buy a wristband for unlimited rides on all of your midway favorites.

Live Music

In the Pavilion Tent, you can catch live bands throughout the fair. This tent will feature acoustic sets of  up-tempo bands for you to enjoy while you take a break from the sun. Tickets for all three days of the fair cost $15 per adult and $9 per child.
