Shrewsbury residents can explore the history of the area by visiting the Ward House Museum. The house, built in the early 1700s, has served as a historical record for the Ward family, which includes our first commander-in-chief of the American Revolution. The house serves as a means of connecting to the past, but it also spends much of the year open as a museum to the public. However, as of November 30, the Ward House Museum will conclude its season of operation. Until then, Shrewsbury families are encouraged to visit, and enjoy the exhibits and artifacts contained within. There is no cost for admission.
The Ward House Museum offers regular hours on Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 am until 12 pm, and from 1 pm until 4 pm. Special appointments can be arranged. The regular operating hours will conclude on November 30.
The Ward House is located at 786 Main Street, Shrewsbury, MA.
Interested families can visit the Ward House Museum for FREE.
You and your family can explore the Ward House Museum, admiring artifacts that date back to the 1700s, and learning about the history of the Ward family.
