Looking for a little extra incentive to hit the pavement, this fall? If so, the Touchstone Community School 5K for Food could be a great nudge to get in a bit better shape, while also supporting a wonderful cause. The event will kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Touchstone Community School, located at 54 Leland St. Grafton, MA. The day will include a Kids Fun Run, in addition to the 5K. Proceeds from the event will go to the Worcester County Food Bank.
How Participating in the Run Can Help Kids In Need
The Kids Fun Run will start at 10 a.m., followed by the 5K which will kick off at 10:15 a.m. Registration for the fun run is $5; the 5K entry will be $25 per person. All proceeds from the 5K will go to the Worcester County Food Bank, which provides foods and Thanksgiving meals to local families in need. For every $1 donated the WCFB is able to distribute $5 worth of food. Last year this added up to nearly 6 million pounds of food to over 100,000 people in Worcester County!
The first 100 people to register for the 5K will receive a T-shirt, and there will be awards given to the top male and female runner.
You can register online, until Nov. 12, by paying via Paypal or credit card. If you have any questions, email [email protected].
